March 19, 2020

As a community, family, and church we will get through these trying times while dealing with the COVID-19 crisis. We will persevere with God’s blessing, encouragement, and we will be stronger.

Today, the first case of COVID-19 was identified in Pulaski County. In addition, the County Commission declared a “State of Emergency” for Phelps County. This order states that gathering must be limited to less than 50 people and be able to maintain a social distancing of 6 feet. In addition, the County Commission ordered all restaurants and bars to close inside seating effective March 21, 2020

Over the last few weeks, we have personally shared our faith and encouragement to our community, friends, and family. While the virus is dangerous to all members of our church family, it is specifically harmful to those individuals over 60 with health issues and anyone over the age of 80.

To this point, our church believes in being a leader in the community, respecter of our governmental officials, and that the requests of the government are reasonable and do not go against the ability for us to worship God, pray, nor against our doctrine.

It is our decision to provide the following program changes through April 3, 2020.

1) Sunday – March 22, 2020 – FACEBOOK LIVE ONLY – The praise team and musicians will meet at 9 a.m. and will provide online services at 10 a.m. The sanctuary will be closed to all other attendees.

2) Wednesday – March 25, 2020 – Sanctuary will be open and regular service at 7 p.m. We will observe the social distancing requirements for the sanctuary. In addition, we will provide the service online through Facebook live.

3) Sunday March 29, 2020 – Sunday – March 22, 2020 – FACEBOOK LIVE ONLY – The praise team and musicians will meet at 9 a.m. and will provide online services at 10 a.m. The sanctuary will be closed to all other attendees.

Please know we are in a trying time. Your pastor, the leadership team, and our congregation have never been through a pandemic of this magnitude with so much disruption to our daily lives. We can rest and trust in the Word of God: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. 2 Timothy 1:7
